Embassy Village, is a Manchester charity that restores the lives of homeless people by helping them into work and home. Launched in 2019, Embassy Village currently uses shared houses but has planning permission to build a village of 40 homes and a training base. Their resettlement team teach budgeting, shopping and cooking whilst mentoring, disciplining and guiding people through a recovery course. Their program offers full-time employment opportunities through partnerships with 22 corporate entities. They not only assist individuals in saving for a deposit but also provide ongoing support to help them secure and maintain permanent accommodation. With the aftercare services they provide, participants can successfully transition into independent living without relying on council housing or benefits.
